I think orange juice or other fruit is a lot better than sugar. Or adding sugar to a nutrient dense diet is fine too. I'm not sure how to lose weight for a show maybe cut your fat extremely low. So far the weight is the same but my fat tissue as reduced very nice. I dont want to hurt my health so I started to eat more salt, sugar and coconut oil. These additions should improve my health. I also reduced my fluids. I dont have access to clean dairy so I will avoid it, I dont get any allergies that I am aware of from the dairy I do consume, but if its recommended I can avoid it. Its nice to hear that meat and potatoes are still a staple. I was a victim of low-carb movement. Im working my way back to a healthy carb consumption. What are your suggestions in terms of rapid fat loss in preparation for a contest? I define rapid as in 12 weeks. I just have one question that I can't quite get my head around.

If I have 1 tbs Bicarb soda after I exercise (as well as the one before), I will have neutralised most of any stomach acid that is present (assuming that my body has enough energy to devote to stomach acid production when I am exercising). If I then eat a meal of protein : sugar (1:4) I am worried that I will not have the right level of stomach acid to help me break down my protein meal.

Do I have this correct?

The only idea that I have come up with is that the bicarb is absorbed very rapidly initially and the protein meal will then stimulate new stomach acid production. If this is the case, do you have any literature on the amount of time taken for bicarb soda to pass through / be digested in the stomach?

Thanks heaps.Matt Hallnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781896159623137116.post-68069893540747105422012-11-12T06:02:30.257-08:002012-11-12T06:02:30.257-08:00It's around 4500 cals, 175g protein, 650g carb...It's around 4500 cals, 175g protein, 650g carbs, 160g fatKeenanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15710975434667834631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781896159623137116.post-60291228853569648622012-11-12T06:00:45.868-08:002012-11-12T06:00:45.868-08:00Not really a concern for me to keep PUFA that low....Not really a concern for me to keep PUFA that low. How do you split the food into multiple meals ? For example if you divide the above in 4 meals you must be having to drink a quart of milk in each sitting and that is a lot of milk for one meal ! Dont you get bloating or gas from this ? Also, no gelatin or meat ? You want to balance out the phosphorus with calcium(milk, cheese, eggshells, cooked greens)

2) what to eat pre workout? - sugar and protein is the best, I like OJ and milk personally because casein and whey have a lot of beneficial properties and the OJ has plenty of nutrients.

3) Ive been haviing 1 cup oats 1 cup berries, 8 oz oj, 4-6 oz meat, 1 tbl all nat peanut butter, and 1 tsp cocnut oil, is this ok for a meal example? - I would omit the peanut butter, rest looks fine maybe add some gelatin

4) how much salt - A couple grams a day is good.

5) should the sugar be eaten alone or with meals? I havnt added this yet and is it just table sugar or all natural cane sugar? - Always eat sugar with a meal preferably balanced with protein and nutrients, plain white sugar is best but is very pure and should be used sparingly or strategically with nutrient dense foods like cocoa powder.

6) how much coconut oil a day? - As much as you want, 2 tb a day will give you most of the benefits.

7) is almond milk ok - Almond milk is very high in PUFA and should be avoided, better to drink dairy milk you tolerate.Keenanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15710975434667834631noreply@blogger.com
